CAD Tech
Duties and Responsibilities are:
• Perform mechanical design and maintenance on new and existing product lines
• Create solid model parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Create complete drawing packages for designed parts and assemblies
• Configure parts and assemblies in the company ERP system for the most efficient assembly and inventory control
• Work with vendors for the procurement of purchased components, outsourced assemblies, and other outsourced services
• Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, sales and customer service
Qualifications:
• Strong experience with SolidWorks
• Experience in the use of common shop tools and equipment
• Strong knowledge of common methods and practices used in the manufacture of aluminum, stainless steel and plastic parts
• Experience in the design of components with close machine tolerances
• Ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Hands on ability and willingness to do what it takes to make things work during assembly and testing
• Good communication and PC skills
