Job Description: The Mechanical Technician / Drafter would help create, review, and manage our 2D drawings generated from our SolidWorks CAD system to ensure the design intent, tolerances, and critical dimensions are clearly specified in the drawings. This person would also make sure all drawings are reviewed and released per Pivot’s design control process into our PDM and/or PLM systems to convey the released information to vendors. This position would also be responsible for managing and operating Pivot’s 3D SLA printers and other production tools for prototype part and fixture development. This person would be responsible for maintaining Pivot’s model shop, ensuring all equipment and tools are calibrated and maintained, and the shop is organized and clean. Finally, this position will support engineering development by designing and building customer fixtures and test equipment to aid in design qualification and manufacturing testing. A strong mechanical aptitude is a must. Experience with building products using a variety of materials and processes is preferred.
