PDS Lead Piping Designer
Description
Immediate need for Senior Piping Designer in Long Beach, CA. Must have Expert skills with PDS.
Must have refinery piping experience. 5 + yrs PDS experience and 15 yrs + total experience. Must have the ability to work independently. Must have some lead experience.
Providing piping design and technical support for the layout, design and specification of equipment for mechanical piping systems for refineries and other industrial plants and their related infrastructure.
Designing and drafting of equipment systems in 3D PDS.
Completing studies and reports; with a focus on providing recommendations for technical solutions.
Reviewing project documents for scope, presentation and technical accuracy prior to issue.
Works with Piping Engineer to determine piping specifications and specialty items.
Provides a full range of drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations.
Excellent written and verbal communications with Piping Team and all other Disciplines that make up the project Team.
Has at least 5 current years of experience using PDS.
Other duties as assigned.
